Since we are using the Internet every day for a wide variety of reasons, it was just a matter of time before we established our own browsing habits. The best part is that nowadays you have a plethora of choice out there that can account for your online surfing needs.
Min is an intuitive and eye-catching piece of software that enables you to browse the Internet seamlessly and find the content you need for personal or business projects based on the suggestions offered by the DuckDuckGo engine.
Streamlined UI and fascinating tab system
The setup is fast and straightforward, especially since it entails decompressing the archive and you are ready to start browsing the web. The program comes with a sleek and appealing interface that is barely noticeable, thus reserving a large percentage for viewing the web content.
It is necessary to mention that the app comes with an appealing tab system and he colors of tabs change according to the theme of the website you are visiting. The app includes a neat bookmarking system that allows you save the content of a page and make it searchable. Therefore, you can find it anytime you want in the future.
A further noteworthy feature is that the utility hides all the open tabs when you activate the Focus mode and hence, allows you to focus on the content. The trump card, however, consists of the search system that auto-fills URLs and can let you access pages and website quicker.
It could use several basic function, such as the Forward and Back buttons
The tool does not permit you move forward or go back to the previous link you visited, features that make surfing the web a lot smoother and convenient. Moreover, while you can open tabs to the right direction, you cannot close them or move them.
At the same time, you should know that the browser does not include a bookmark manager, so you cannot access the pages you saved to read later on. In addition, the application does not have a history, so you cannot access pages you previously visited from there. In other words, it lacks some of the feature everyone expects in a browser.
Lastly, the program does not allow you change the DuckDuckGo engine, so you should use other third-party software solutions to perform more advanced searches on other search engines.
An interesting browser that could use some work
Even though the app needs a lot of work and fixes, the idea behind it is quite nice and therefore, Min has the potential to become a satisfactory alternative at some point.
